Salt entered my watercolor practice early, as both texture and material — later becoming central to Aesthetic of Air.
Graphite
Graphite is my most personal medium — a way into the subconscious through automatic drawing. I begin with the pressure of a single line, then let the hand move without a plan, each mark building on the last.
During the first semester of my third year, I experimented with computative art, or creating ambiences from paintings. This resulted in a work divided into two sections.
The first section involved a painting that focused on the state of dust particles in the air and the existence of atoms. I carefully applied black paint in strokes, one stroke at a time,
to create large circles.
The second section represents the movement of ambiences and air underwater
This work traces dust suspended in air and the quiet presence of atoms — built stroke by stroke in black paint, forming large circles. A second section follows air moving underwater.
Earth, dust, and moisture were left to react with the canvas on their own terms: layered, dried, allowed to leave their own trace. The process became the work itself — material given room to find its own pattern, rather than forced into one.

Hybrid Beings (2023)
This paper-making project began with research into industrial contamination in Minamata Bay, Japan — and its lasting effect on the bodies of those who lived on that water.
Handmade Paper-Making Process: / Four papers, one process, natural fibers only: 1. Banana bark fiber 2. Dried leaf fiber 3. Corn husk fiber 4. Mixed fiber — herbs, banana bark, leaf, coffee grounds Wash the fibers, rinse 2–3 times. Boil 3–4 hours until soft. Blend to texture. Spread across a 2×2m screen. Let dry under weight overnight, then peel.
